Peter Donegan’s 2024 @melbflowershow Show Garden will unfold as a poignant story of a returned Air Force veteran. The Garden will be a medium to reflect on the challenges faced by those who have served in the military. Conveying the essence of a garden owned by a returned soldier, the building gradually aging, the grass growing long, and the promises of fixing the plane left unfulfilled. The grass-roofed timber cabin adds to the narrative, symbolising the passage of time and the dreams left untouched.Created in support of the Defence Force Welfare Association (DFWA) Vic, Donegan's Garden aims to raise awareness for the mental health of returned soldiers.
