Brighton Project | Myles Baldwin Design

In this inspiring landscape design by Myles Baldwin Design, the seamless integration of bespoke design elements transforms the space into a stunning outdoor sanctuary.

Considered lighting ensures the different spaces and features are well lit;  extending the enjoyment of the garden for the family both day and night. Lighting helps achieve a harmonious balance between the constructed environment and surrounding landscape; enhancing architectural features while showcasing the natural beauty of the garden at night.

The result is a layered landscape that takes you on a journey around the garden at night where lighting plays a crucial role in accentuating key features. Strategically placed lighting to illuminate the elegant sculpture and water feature, creates dramatic effects, whilst also contributing to the overall atmosphere.

The garden is an entertainers paradise including an outdoor dining space, basketball court, layered plantings and lawns. The distinct areas offer interesting spaces to light for both aesthetics and safety.

Wall lighting enhances textured architectural surfaces and adds height and dimension to the outdoor structure.  From the outdoor dining space, the bronze sculpture provides a focus for the owners; accentuated at night with Accent Lighting. Step lighting was also integrated into the design for safety and to emphasize the changing levels within the garden.

Path lighting leads you through to a striking stone and Corten steel water feature in a private courtyard space. The interplay of lighting and moving water creates a dramatic effect.

Accent lighting highlights the layered planting and directs attention around the different zones whilst adding depth to the garden.  Adjustable Risers in matching Bronze finish were installed on several Accent lights to raise the height of the light as plants grow. This popular accessory provides an easy to install solution to ensure the lighting continues to highlight the landscape effectively over time.

The resulting landscape is seamless from day to night; connecting the outdoors with the indoors.
